FAQ

—  FAQ  —

What do you do?
One of my key roles as your marriage celebrant, is to complete all of your legal paperwork and have it all registered with the state government of where the ceremony took place. Another, of course, is to be there on the day to deliver your ceremony and get you married!

What do you supply on the day?
On the day of your ceremony, I bring with me my wireless sound system which we use for you music on the day. It is a great system for outdoors and have had no issues at any of my ceremonies. It is modern system which is easy for any videographers can connect into should they need. On completion of your ceremony, you will be given the signed wedding certificate. Should you wish to have the registered wedding certificate, this is additional and we can chat further about this.

What does your fee include?
My fee includes all of your legal paperwork and registration, all of the meetings/phone calls/emails we need in planning your ceremony, on the day ceremony delivery, and I’ll even hang around a bit and help with the photos with your photographer.

What do you need from us?
What is needed from you is both birth certificates, drivers license, and if married before, the divorce certificate. Once we have these key documents, I will be able to start to complete the legal documents on your behalf.

When should I book a celebrant?
Booking a celebrant is a key item that should be on the top of your list. Without a celebrant, you cannot get married! It is important that you feel comfortable with your celebrant and feel that they will be able to bring something to your ceremony. So the sooner the better in booking a celebrant for your big day.

What areas do you service?
I have had the privilege of working with couples all around Australia in delivering ceremonies. I am based in Sydney and have done plenty around the beaches, Hunter Valley, Blue Mountains, and even in couples in their backyards.

How do we book you?
To book me, lets first meet up for a coffee, my shout of course, which gives each of us a chance to make sure we are the best fit for what you are after. This also gives you the chance to ask any questions that you may have regarding any burning question about your ceremony or even how it all works. Once you have decided that you would like to choose me, I will send through a service agreement and once this has been signed, returned and the service fee of $200 is paid, the date is held and confirmed. To start this process, hit the ‘Let’s Connect’ button below.

Are you part of any organisation?
Yes, I am part of the Australian Federation of Civil Celebrants which is an accredited association for celebrants. More information about this association can be found here.

How long should our cermeony go for?
Most of the ceremonies that I have done, go for anywhere between 20-30 minutes. This is a great amount of time for all your guests to be a part of, which includes time for signing of the paperwork and a few quick photos. Another great element that I encourage couples to consider is creating space for family or friends to have a role to play within the ceremony. This makes it feel really special. We can discuss this when we meet on how best this works.

How much do you charge?
My fee is very reasonable, and I do have different charges depending on the service you are after. I do offer a Registry Office style ceremony which is just for the legal component and with a maximum of 5 people in attendance. For a custom quote please click the ‘Let’s Connect’ button below.
